I will discuss traditional methods of web evaluation librarians have used when teaching students (checklists, CRAAP test) and recent critiques of those methods. I will then describe techniques I have drawn on (SIFT, lateral searching) to develop the method I currently use, which I refer to as "move up and move sideways". I will explain this method, how I have taught it to students, and the feedback I have received so far.
