Participants will share and discuss ideas about various instructional methods in teaching informational literacy whether it be a one-time bib session, a dedicated general education course for credit, or anything in between. Discussion will feature elements of “the information wheel” developed by Susan Curzon and Lynn Lampert, authors of Proven Strategies for Building an Information Literacy Program. These elements include definitions, goals, collaboration, measurable learning outcomes, planning, curriculum, student engagement, assessment and revision. Each element plays an important role in creating a sustainable information literacy program.
